We are seeking a highly professional and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a prestigious Ultra High Net Worth real estate and property management office in Palm Beach. The Staff Accountant will support daily accounting operations across a portfolio of luxury real estate holdings, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality at all times. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional professional decorum, strong analytical capability, and the ability to interface seamlessly with internal teams, ownership, and high-profile stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries for multiple real estate entities.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reconciliations.
- Prepare property-level financial statements, variance analyses, and cash flow reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor onboarding and invoice oversight.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, security deposits, and escrow balances.
- Track capital expenditures, operating expenses, and property budgets.
- Assist with tax preparation materials, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Support property managers with financial insights and reporting needs.
- Ensure all accounting practices adhere to internal controls, confidentiality standards, and UHNW expectations.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements to enhance financial transparency and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in property or real estate accounting (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA a plus).
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (AccountEdge, QuickBooks, or similar), MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Proven experience managing accounting functions for multiple entities or properties.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and polished executive presence suitable for UHNW environments.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
